Weekend in Pennsylvania

So this past weekend, we headed up to Pennsylvania to visit my family. Friday night was pizza night with some of our family friends. It was great to catch up! On Saturday, we went to the Home Show in Harrisburg with my parents. It was really neat to see what different vendors can come up with. That night, TJ and I went to the Hollywood Casino with our friends Karey and Joe. We didn’t win anything, but had a lot of fun.

Kenley’s baptism is the last weekend in March. I have heard of people using their wedding gowns to make christening gowns. My mom’s friend/co-worker was able to make one for Kenley. The gown is beautiful. Below are two pictures:

Kenley was 2 months old on Sunday. Yesterday, she had her 2 month well-baby check-up. She is doing great! Only four more weeks of maternity leave :-(

I love it when she smiles!

As stated in the previous post, Kenley has started to smile when you talk to her. I took this picture last night and couldn’t wait to share it!

Just a little update…

Things around here have been running pretty smoothly…I can’t really complain! Kenley is almost 8 weeks old….time is flying! She getting so big. She has finally outgrown her newborn outfits, which is sad and exciting at the same time! She will only be this small for such a short amount of time, so I’m trying to enjoy every minute.

I was reading about different milestones that should be coming up. Cooing and smiling are two of them. Kenley has started doing both and her personality is starting to show. Below are some more pictures that I’d like to share….

Officially A Family!

For those of you who know me well, my life has changed so much in the past 2 years. I met the love of my life, got married, and had a beautiful baby girl!  This post will hopefully catch everyone up and I have made a promise to myself ( and Jen Gimmel) that I will continue to post more often.

Again, the wedding was absolutely wonderful!  TJ and I couldn’t have asked for more! We went on our honeymoon to St. Lucia for a week. I, unfortunately, was quite sick and spent a lot of time inside our hotel room. :-( We made it back home and enjoyed the last few weeks of summer. I began the school year at Gale-Bailey Elementary School and so far, so good!

The months passed by (it seemed like forever to me!) and finally the day came! Kenley Ann Long was born on January 13, 2011 at 5:43pm. She weighed 6 lbs. 2.9 oz. Below are some pics taken in the hospital and from her first week home. Unfortunately, I don’t have as many pics on my camera compared to the rest of my family, but here goes….

She really is the sweetest baby!  She rarely fusses and when she does, it’s usually because she’s hungry or needs a diaper change. Once one of the two are taken care of, she settles down and most of the time goes back to sleep.

Kenley is now 1 month old and time is flying by! It’s funny to think about how we impatiently waited 40 weeks to meet this baby girl and all I wanted was to make the time go faster. Now, I want to hold onto it as long as I can! Although it’s only been a month since she arrived, it’s hard to remember what life was like without her.

Wedding Slideshow

I’ve come to the conclusion that I’m really bad when it comes to blogging!  A lot has happened since the last post. A new school year has started. I transferred and now I’m at Gale-Bailey Elementary School. I must say I really miss Diggs! I’m going to try to stay on the positive side, but I miss the people I worked with.

In regards to baby news, we are having a girl! We are both extremely excited and can’t wait to meet her! It’s amazing how times really does fly by. It seems like it was almost yesterday when we found out we were expecting and now I can feel her kicking as I sit and write this. :-)  We need to start getting things ready for the nursery. We have picked the paint color, but haven’t started painting yet. We also picked out the baby bedding, which I think is too cute!

One last thing about the wedding….below is a website that you can click on to see a wedding slideshow of pictures taken at the wedding. Thanks to Liza Maryann Photography for all your hardwork! Enjoy!

The Wedding and Some Other Important News :-)

This past weekend TJ and I finally got married. The ceremony took place at Sacred Heart Church and our reception was at The Sunset Room. It was wonderful!  Below are some pictures of the reception. I hope everyone had a great time…I know I did!

Now on to some other news…TJ and I are expecting! My due date is January 17, 2011, which means we are a full 14 weeks. The baby is doing great! I have had such a smooth pregnancy so far…a minimal amount of morning sickness. I have started to develop a sweet tooth that I never really had before. I had a doctor’s appointment today and was able to hear the heartbeat for the first time.  We have had 2 sonograms already. It’s amazing to see the how much the baby has grown in such a short amount of time.

Here is our first sonogram at about 8 weeks:

Here is our second sonogram at 11 weeks:

We have many things to look forward to in the near future! Thanks to all who have been so supportive…we have the BEST family and friends!

2 Weeks!

So I think the last time I posted something there were 73 days until the wedding…. now there are 14! A lot has happened in the past 6 weeks! TJ and I traveled to Indiana for my sister’s graduation. She attended St. Mary’s College, which is the sister school of Notre Dame. The area and campus is really nice and I’m glad I was able finally to take a mini-tour of the college.

All of the major areas of wedding planning are complete. We are in the process of tying up loose ends and bringing all the small details together. Today my mother and I will be doing the seating arrangements!  Below are some more pictures I’ve taken to document the whole wedding process:

Our Rehearsal Dinner invitation. We are having a Crab Feast and a Pig Roast for our Rehearsal Dinner at the local Fire House. My mom had this designed and I think it came out really cute!

The next two weeks will be busy, but I’ll try to update as much as possible!
